This tutorial provides the steps to create a notification bar having a close button before the site header in Genesis.
You can use any widget type with this top banner notification bar in any theme based on Genesis Framework.
The top Notification Bar can be used to show Text, Announcements, Offers, or a Newsletter form similar to this.
It will hide with a close button for a certain days/week or month depending on the Settings.
Tested on Genesis Sample.
