This tutorial provides the step to add a Popup Lightbox using the VenoBox jQuery Lightbox plugin in Genesis.
You can also try similar lightbox plugins like Magnific Popup, Featherlight, Fancybox, SweetAlert, and Lity. I found VenoBox is better, easy to set up and use and offers almost features a dev look for.
Find the demo on VenoBox site.
Tested on Genesis Sample but works with all WordPress themes and not limited to Genesis Framework.
Prerequisite: -
- Let's make a decision where we need a pop-up window. So, we will enqueue the required scripts on that page only.
- The file will Go like (jQuery in top, venobox.js and CSS in middle and init script in footer.
<head> jQuery.js venobox(min).js </head>
<body> Init file or inline script to Initialize the plugin. </body>
STEP 1
Download VenoBox.zip and Extract in your computer and move the folder /venobox/ which contains files venobox(min).js and venobox.css to your /child-theme/ folder.
