Backups are a great way to store a site at a particular time. Backups ensure that you have the ability to get your site back as it was before any bad accident with your site.

Why You need a Backup?

Backup is necessary because no one knows when the site is compromised. With with popularity of WordPress, the attackers always looking to get a way to hack your site.

Backups enable you to save your content online or offline and restore at any time you want.

Backups are generally of two types
1. Onsite backup
2. Offsite Backup

1. Onsite backup – The backup will remain on your site and server and can be downloaded locally on your computer.

2. Offsite Backup – The backup will be sent to other popular storage like Dropbox, Google drive and more… You can manually download them on your computer.

How to Backup a WordPress site?

You can create a backup by utilizing your hosting feature, on-demand backup or daily backup feature. Managed Hosting like StudioPress sites, Kinsta, Flywheel offers regular backups and security.

If Your hosting doesn’t offer backup feature then you can try the Backup Plugins.

Backups should be created on a regular basis and should have a minimum of two backups.
